Data relevant to the business community is published on a variety of economic topics.  Information tailored to each individual request.  EDC maintains a wide variety of demographic and statistical information.

BUSINESS INFORMATION & COUNSELING
Free, confidential counseling through SBA sponsored SCORE program available for start-up and existing businesses.  Business information tailored to each client.

PROMOTION
Promotion and expansion of existing area businesses by means of Uniquely Whidbey Biz Expo, consulting services, entrepreneurial training, marketing and the Internet.

SEMINARS & TRAINING
Sponsoring training sessions and providing marketing, legal, and tax information.  EDC offers free business 2-hour start-up workshop each month at WorkSource Whidbey.

REFERRALS
Help in using State, Federal and local programs that provide resource, loans and technical assistance.

OMBUDSMAN
Represent business in government legislation to enhance economic viability in governmental policies, especially in the area of land and resource use.  Ability to interface with local or state government to assist with regulatory problems.
