Freeland Chamber of Commerce

Plans are underway for our Annual Festival of Lights and Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, November 23, and we’ve got some great “presents” for our community!

The Christmas Tree Lighting will take place at 6:30 PM and we’ll have apple cider and cookies at the Freeland Chamber of Commerce office (1640 Main Street, Freeland).

This year’s family event will feature TRINITY LUTHERAN CHOIR AND BELL QUARTET PERFORMANCES with Christmas music by DJ’s UNLIMITED CHARLIE MOORE FROM CASCADE MORTGAGE. We’ll even have caroling sheets available so everyone can join in our sing-a-long after the choir performs!

And we took your suggestions after last year’s event to heart.  This year you’ll be able to purchase an M-BAR-C WAGON RIDE WITH SANTA starting November 12 and throughout Thanksgiving week at the Chamber office (office hours are 11 AM to 3 PM, Monday thru Saturday).  You don’t have to wait until the night of our event to buy your tickets!  This year’s Wagon Ride with Santa will benefit HOPE THERAPEUTIC RIDING PROGRAM for children with disabilities and the cost of the ticket is whatever you can afford; but please do be generous so that we can support this great organization.  Santa’s Wagon will leave Harbor Village and proceed down to the bus stop in front of PayLess, come back up to the Chamber and proceed down to Betsa Round Pizza.  Shoppers can get on and off anywhere along the route as often as they want to shop with their ticket.  Thanks to the generosity of our riders, last year’s event raised $1,250 for the M-BAR-C!  
 With your ticket purchase we’ve built in some freebee’s!  You will receive a SHOPPING COUPON GOOD FOR 20% OFF your purchase from Linds Toy Catalog, and retail items at Mutiny Bay Mall, Paint Escape, Red Rooster Antiques, Second Chance, Sound Business Center (on all holiday and gift items), and The Beach Cabin.  Per your request, discount coupons will be good through Dec 1st  on selected retail items only and can't be combined with any other discount.   With your ticket for a Santa’s Wagon Ride, you will also be automatically entered into our  RAFFLE DRAWING, and we’ve got some  FABULOUS PRIZES donated by our local businesses!
 Several of our stores will be open late for shopping and the M-Bar-C Wagon Ride with Santa will drop shoppers off at designated stops throughout town.   Island Fabrics, Linds, Mutiny Bay Antique Mall, Paint Escape, Red Rooster Antiques, Radio Shack, Second Chance, and The Beach Cabin will all be open for shopping!   
 If your not interested in Apple Cider and cookies, Besta Round Pizza will offer a fabulous slice of their pizza and drink for $2 until 8 PM, Gerry’s Kitchen will be open for a quick bite to eat ‘til 8 PM, and The Beach Cabin will sponsor a “Taste of Freeland” offering a taste of their fantastic specialty foods at $2 each from 4 to 8 PM!  
 And if you need a gift for someone special, The Paint Escape will have a “Paint Until You Faint” event where you can personally paint your holiday gifts right up to Midnight!
